National Student Filmmaking Competition on Mental Health Challenges during Covid Times

Film Making Competition

The premier body of documentary and short film makers in India, the IDPA (Indian Documentary Producers’ Association) is celebrating its 64th birthday. It’s one of the oldest and most prestigious of film associations having been guided since its birth in 1956 by a galaxy of member filmmakers and producers from Satyajit Ray, Paul Zils, Shyam Benegal, Saeed Akhtar Mirza, Manmohan Shetty, Vijaya Muley, Mike Pandey, Jahnu Barua, Arunaraje Patil amongst other luminaries many of whom started their careers with documentary & short films.

IDPA’s main concern today is to promote Independent Short & Documentary Film making in the country & provide a platform geared towards achieving that end by recognising and rewarding the talent of the Indian documentary & short film maker, especially students.

Understanding & recognizing this need the IDPA in association with the M.A.Srivatsa Trust present a National Student filmmaking competition on Mental Health challenges during Covid times. The pandemic is still on & the mental health issues are growing exponentially. We invite all students from across the country to send in their amazing films at the earliest to gain National recognition & win cash awards. Last date for entries is 2nd November 2020. Forms can be downloaded @ & are to be mailed to
